MAPS Charities assists disadvantaged seniors and their families in Los Angeles County with funds for short-term solutions.
Anita Miller was a warrior. In her quiet, gracious, gentle manner, there was an extraordinary woman, whose life was devoted to loving and giving to all who knew her and to so many who did not. Countless lives were all the better through her huge heart and many acts of kindness.
Anita was an icon in the world of senior services. Her modest demeanor would deny such an accolade, but through her years of volunteerism and professionally, she made an immeasurable impact that truly made a difference.
Very active in her synagogues throughout the years, Valley Interfaith Council (VIC), Hadassah and Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, her dedication knew no bounds. The birth and subsequent meteoric growth of MAPS Charities was fortunate to have her dedication and focus at its inception in 2009.
Above and beyond all else, it was her husband, Erv, her partner and sweetheart of 63 years, their three children and spouses, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who all brought her such depth of joy.
And now there is a new angel smiling down upon all of us.
Through support from you, MAPS Charities will continue to assist seniors in need.
