The MAPS Charities Advisory Council was launched in 2023 as a result of expanded interest in being involved with the important mission of the organization, but without the intensity of time the Board commits to in their service. It is a working Council, composed of dedicated professionals who want to give to the aging community of LA County, to protect the vulnerable senior population who depend on granted goods and services that can make their lives safer and more comfortable. Many of the grants to our recipients focus on health items, utilities and rent assistance.

The AC works in conjunction with the Board as a support in fundraising, event planning, community outreach and “spreading the good word”. There is always the opportunity to join the Board if their time and desire allow. Several of our Council members have chosen to make that leap and have added both energy and enthusiasm by their committed presence!
